Another CIA sponsored Coup D’Etat? Venezuela’s D-Day

Democratic Socialism or Imperial Counter-Revolution

By Prof James Petras

11/28/07 “ICH” — – On November 26, 2007 the Venezuelan government broadcast and circulated a confidential memo from the US embassy to the CIA which is devastatingly revealing of US clandestine operations and which will influence the referendum this Sunday (December 2, 2007).

Bush rages: “I am not Beelzebub, Lord of Sulfur”
By Mike Whitney

“The devil is right at home…. The devil himself is right in the house. And the devil came here yesterday. Yesterday the devil came right here…And it still smells of sulfur today.” Hugo Chavez; address to the UN General Assembly 9-20-06

My oh my, has Hugo Chavez caused a furor. Looking at the news reports filed in the last 24 hours, one would think that he snuck a dirty-bomb into the United Nations rather than gave a speech. In fact, the plucky Chavez may have delivered the finest 30 minute presentation that august assembly has ever heard. In that short span of time he publicly throttled the Global Emperor in front of 6 billion people and left his bruised and bloodied carcass splattered across the canvas like Roberto Duran in Round 9 of the middleweight championship match…..

THE REVOLUTION WILL NOT BE TELEVISED – Google Video

Thursday, June 8th, 2006

Fantastic movie about Venezuela. The movie develops like a cartoon, so I almost had to pinch myself to remind myself that this is for real. Particularly the scenes from the presidential palace when they start to realize that they are regaining power… stunning!

Watch this one – if you have a heart it will be moved.

Also it is quite thought-provoking to see how the private TV channels participate in the coup, in obviously premeditated plans, to produce a false reality.

THE REVOLUTION WILL NOT BE TELEVISED – Google Video

HUGO CHAVEZ ELECTED PRESIDENT OF VENEZUELA IN 1998, IS A COLORFUL, UNPREDICTABLE FOLK HERO, beloved by his nation’s working class and a tough-as-nails, quixotic opponent to the power structure that would see him deposed. Two independent filmmakers were inside the presidential palace on April 11, 2002, when he was forcibly removed from office. They were also present 48 hours later when, remarkably, he returned to power amid cheering aides. Their film records what was probably history’s shortest-lived coup d’état. It’s a unique document about political muscle and an extraordinary portrait of the man The Wall Street Journal credits with making Venezuela “Washington‚s biggest Latin American headache after the old standby, Cuba.”

Colombian and Peruvian Elections Prove Stalin Was Right – by Stephen Lendman

Joe Stalin wasn’t just an ordinary dictator, he was a very savvy one. He had to have been to have held on to power for over 30 years, succeed in outfoxing his rivals, and even be able to break the back of the vaunted Nazi Wehrmacht that turned the tide of the war in Europe and led to Hitler’s demise. His political control at home and over his allied Warsaw Pact countries was best explained by the philosophy h

Robert Newmans History of Oil – Google Video

Monday, June 5th, 2006

Newman, a british sort of stand up comedian, is funny and educative. I learned some stuff about the British role in events dating back as far as WW1.

Robert Newmans History of Oil – Google Video

As shown on Ch4 and repeated several times on More4, available at IndyBay on the web and many other places, now on google video (not great … all » video quality) Robert’s stand-up act examines the history of the last 100 years or so but putting oil center-stage. Brilliant!

Vladimir Putin and the rise of the petro-ruble

Wednesday, May 24th, 2006

Here’s an article that gives a brief explanation of why the Dollar is crucially dependant on being thee global reserve currency, and exclusively used as petro-currency, ie: all oil-trades are in Dollars.

(Can’t say I fully understand this yet, but the fog is slowly clearing)

The article also claims that the Dollar will collapse when/if countries like Russia, Iran, Venezuela or even Norway goes off the Dollar for their oil-trades and uses alternatives like Euros or Rubles.

And of course, in the context of USA’s current threats against Iran, we are reminded that Iraq was invaded shortly after they converted from Dollars to Euros.

The article makes the prediction that as Russia goes further with it’s conversion idea, we will see the Western media start a smeer campaign aganist Putin, possibly using the same ‘Hitler’ card against him, as is used against ‘Ahmadi Nejad’ and Chavez… and ironically by radical lefties against Bush.
Vladimir Putin and the rise of the petro-ruble

Putin’s challenge to the dollar is the first salvo in a guerilla war that will end with the crash of the Dollar.

Venezuela’s oil and Massachusetts’ chimneys

Noam Chomsky writes favourably about Chavez, and how Venezuela spreads social justice across all of the combined North/South America.

Chavez: “Bush is a terrorist, a drunkard, and a donkey.”

Monday, May 22nd, 2006

An article hailing Chavez and bashing Bush… mmmmmm!

Chavez: “Bush is a terrorist, a drunkard, and a donkey.”

“This model, the so called American way of life, the extreme capitalism, is not sustainable. Life on this planet will end if we continue down this road. That is why we are motivated to establish socialism and abandon selfish consumerism. We are all in danger, especially our children and grandchildren.”

Putin proposes creation of ruble-denominated oil, gas exchange

When Iraq converted their oiltrade to Euros they were anihilated 6 months later by USA.

Now Iran Is planning to convert their oiltrade to the Euro.

And now also Russia seeking to get away from the Dollar.

Maybe this is the essential global dissent that we need in order to oppose USA.

Why don’t Europe itself also convert their oiltrade to the Euro???

The United States wants to create conditions in order to attack Venezuela

BOLIVARIAN REPUBLIC OF VENEZUELA
DECLARATIONS OF THE MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS ALÍ RODRÍGUEZ ARAQUE

The government of the United States climbs to new heights of cynicism and shamelessness, when it tries to tie Venezuela to its particular vision of international terrorism. It affirms that Venezuela is not “collaborating sufficiently” with the struggle against terrorism.

If not “collaborating” means not supporting the virtual genocide that it practices against the Iraqi people and failing to condemn it with all one’s might before all the possible forums, then under no concept or pretext Venezuela is not willing to “collaborate.” If not “collaborating” means condemning the pretense of imposing upon the people of Iran the need to resign from its legitimate right to develop nuclear technology for peaceful ends, under the extreme threat of military attacks against it, Venezuela is proud to respond that it shall never lend itself to demands of such nature, no matter what pressures are brought to bear against her. World leaders suspect the Bush administration of involvement in the 911 attacks

(WMR) — The first skeptics to question what role the Bush administration played in the 9-11 terrorist attacks were a few cabinet ministers in the governments of America’s NATO allies. They included German Science and Technology Minister Andreas Von Bulow and British Environment Minister Michael Meacher. They were joined by Belgian European Parliament Member Paul Lannoye. However, in recent months the former cabinet ministers have been joined in their skepticism about the “official” version of the 911 events by Venezuela’s President Hugo Chavez and Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad…
