Is Israeli wishes driving USA or vice-versa?
This article argues that AIPAC controls US congres.

Letter from James Abourezk, former US Senator from South Dakota to Jeff Blankfort on the Israel Lobby :: from www.uruknet.info :: news from occupied Iraq – it
The following letter was sent to me today by James Abourezk, former US Senator from South Dakota, and he readily complied when I asked that I be allowed to forward it to my list because what he had to say is of the utmost importance, given last month’s election and all the new faces in Congress, and the immediate previous posting to you and James Petras’s article earlier in the day..

Dear Jeff:

I just finished reading your critique of Noam Chomsky’s positions in an e mail sent to me by Tony Saidy.

I had never paid much attention to Chomsky’s writings, as I had all along assumed that he was correct and proper in his position on the Arab-Israeli conflict.

But now, upon learning that his first assumption is that Israel is simply doing what the imperial leaders in the U.S. wants them to do, I concur with you that this assumption is completely wrong.

It’s 1938 and Iran is Germany

Wednesday, November 15th, 2006

Now that it’s become clear that the American expansion in the Middle East has become quicksanded in Iraq, the Israelis move centerstage and positions themselves for the non-conventional attack on Iran.

Or?

Netanyahu: It’s 1938 and Iran is Germany; Ahmadinejad is preparing another Holocaust – Haaretz – Israel News

“It’s 1938 and Iran is Germany. And Iran is racing to arm itself with atomic bombs,” Netanyahu told delegates to the annual United Jewish Communities General Assembly, repeating the line several times, like a chorus, during his address. “Believe him and stop him,” the opposition leader said of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. “This is what we must do. Everything else pales before this.”While the Iranian president “denies the Holocaust,” Netanyahu said, “he is preparing another Holocaust for the Jewish state.”

Speaking on Army Radio on Tuesday, Netanyahu hinted that Israel possesses the military capabilities necessary for curbing by itself the Iranian nuclear threat, declining to specify what these entail.

The Likud chairman said “I don’t want to analyze the capability required to eliminate [the Iranian] threat, but this capability exists,” when told by host Razi Barkai that Israel lacks the ability to eliminate Tehran’s nuclear program by military means.

The Axis of Powers; Nazi Tactics by Israel and America in the Phony War On Terror
by joel fischer

As a Jew who witnessed the loss of 6,000,000 of my fellow Jews, most likely including members of my own extended family who were still in Europe, in the brutal Nazi slaughter of the Holocaust, I believe I know Nazi tactics when I see them. Because of this deeply personal history, I am sickened by the Nazi-like tactics being used by the Israelis in Gaza and Lebanon. These tactics are fully supported by the Bush administration as legitimate attempts at “self defense” against the alleged incursions by Palestinian and Hezbollah guerillas. This collusion between the US and the Israelis is so similar to the Axis Powers of World War II that I believe they constitute a new “Axis OF Powers” for the 21st Century. This Axis links Israel, the most militaristic country in the Middle East, with the United States, the most militaristic country in the world, in a quest to dominate, intimidate and develop their hegemony over other countries…

Soldater bryder tavsheden

[INTERNATIONALT]

(more…)

Israeli Palestinian Conflict 101

Thursday, August 24th, 2006

An introductory FAQ to the Israeli/Palestinian situation.

Israeli Palestinian Conflict 101

www.jewishvoiceforpeace.org

Q: What exactly is “the occupation”?A: In 1967, Israel defeated the neighboring Arab countries in a war that lasted only six days. At the end of that war, Israel had captured the West Bank (which includes the Eastern half of Jerusalem), the Gaza Strip and the Golan Heights. (It also captured the Sinai Peninsula, but this was later returned to Egypt as part of a peace accord that holds to this day). Some of this territory was annexed, specifically the Golan Heights and East Jerusalem. The rest of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip has been under a military occupation ever since. This means that the Israeli army has complete control over these areas. Palestinians in these regions have no guarantee of civil rights. They have no government of their own other than what Israel will allow. Israel can impose total curfews on any part or all of the territory. This prevents people from traveling to work, to market or to see family members. It can prevent medical care from reaching people, and people from reaching hospitals. Occupation means the Israeli military has total authority over every aspect of Palestinian life.

Gush Shalom – Israeli Peace Bloc

Once again: The solution to the Israeli problem is really simple:

Withdraw from the occupied territories

(Not including Israel itself though).

…But, thank goodness, there is another remedy. An amazingly simple one: to free ourselves from the occupation once and for all. To get out of the occupied territories in agreement and cooperation with the Palestinians. To make peace with the Palestinian people, so they can establish their independent state side by side with Israel…

“Honor First”; the liberation of Lebanon

Thursday, August 24th, 2006

An honest analysis of the Lebanon siuation.

“Honor First”; the liberation of Lebanon
By Mike Whitney

…This is what defeat looks like.

Back in Israel, the headlines are splattered with every detail of the ongoing withdrawal from Lebanon. The op-ed pages and talk shows lash out at anyone even remotely involved with the month-long debacle. Prime Minister Olmert has become the favorite target of the media’s scathing criticism and the brunt of every joke. His public approval has dipped from a pre-war high of 80% to a meager 40%. Meanwhile, political rival Benjamin Netanyahu’s popularity has soared to a hearty 57% making him the likely successor if Olmert is forced to step down.

Israel is drowning in collective angst and self-pity. The defeat has shattered the national sense of self confidence and well being. A joke that is circulating in Tel Aviv opines that Ariel Sharon’s condition suddenly worsened “when he found out what was happening in Lebanon.”…

Does the dog wag the tail or does the tail wag the dog?

The dog being USA and the tail being Israel.

This article argues that the dog wags the tail.

But my main reason for posting this article is that – again – the comments on ‘information Clearing House’ articles are extremely interesting to read, and they are so refreshingly (relatively) unpoluted of aggressive ad hominim attacks.

Many of the commenters argue that the tail wags the dog, but some also argue that it’s the dog’s master that wags both, ie: the New World Order – Illuminati – Rothchild – global cabal…

Also some of the comments bring very interesting information about the historic origins of the jews. After having read some of this info you must think that anybody who uses term ‘anti-semitic’ of Israel-critics must be really badly informed, because most Jews in Israel are really not Semites, they’re Ashkenazis from Khazaria, and it’s actually their neighbor arabs who are Semites. But of course that’s a topic of discussion.
There’s also some accusations of Chomsky being a multi-millionaire-krypto-zionist! and an Israel apologist.
There are so many links in the comments, that it would probably take weeks to read through it all… take a peek!

Analysis by Wayne Madsen

Over 1,000 Lebanese, including many children, killed…35,000 homes and places of business destroyed… 1,000,000 forced to flee their homes…

400 miles of Lebanon’s roads ruined…150 bridges and interchanges destroyed…billions of dollars in infrastructure damage to manufacturing and transportation facilities

All because Hezbollah “kidnapped” two Israeli soldiers?

How can anyone but a child be expected to believe the goverment-media story?

Kritikk av Israel er rasisme?

Thursday, August 10th, 2006

The Norwegian author of the book “Sofie’s World” has cause scandal by publishing an op-ed that questions Israel’s right to exist in the form it has today.

Guds utvalgte folk

This draft shows who is running America’s policy… Israel

Tuesday, August 8th, 2006

Fisk writes about the UN draft for a resolution concerning the Israeli invasion of Lebanon.

This draft shows who is running America’s policy… Israel

By Robert Fisk

A close analysis of the American-French draft – the fingerprints of John Bolton, the US ambassador to the UN, were almost smudging the paragraphs – showed just who is running Washington’s Middle East policy: Israel. And one wondered how even Tony Blair would want to associate himself with this nonsense. It made no reference to the obscenely disproportionate violence employed by Israel – just a sleek reference to “hundreds of deaths and injuries on both sides” – and it made only passing reference to Hizbollah’s demand that it would only release the two Israeli soldiers it captured on 12 July in return for Lebanese and other Arab prisoners in Israeli jails.

As usual Fisk is interesting, but the real heat is packed in the comments – again:

I don’t understand Fisk. Sometimes he talks from different sides of his mouth – or so it seems

Israel and the US are not in control of anything. They are both monkeys dancing for the US based international arms trade.

The criminality is inside the governments of Israel and the US. However, if those governments were eliminated, the crime syndicate would still exist.

The crime syndicate is composed of the “war bankers”, the synergists. It’s not about land or peace. It’s about creating a market to sell trillions in weapons and so called “security technologies” to global taxpayers. It is also about every consumer on the face of the planet paying 4 times fair value for petro-energy.

Instead of limiting what is going on to the bad actions of the US and Israel’s governments, we need to understand that their strings are also being pulled. (more…)

The War on Lebanon and the Battle for Oil

US, Turkey, Israel and the War on Lebanon

Michel Chossudovsky argues that Turkey is to be reckoned with as a major player on the US-UK-Israeli war-team.
“Triple Alliance”: The US, Turkey, Israel and the War on Lebanon

While Turkey’s Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has condemned Israel for the atrocities committed in Lebanon, his government remains a staunch ally of Israel and a major military actor in the Middle East and Central Asia, with close ties to Washington, Tel Aviv and NATO headquarters in Brussels.

UN Resolution (Lebanon / Hizbollah)

Tuesday, August 8th, 2006

This article doesn’t explain the resolution in detail, but rather describes the agents, motives and consequences.

UN Resolution

By Jonathan Cook in Nazareth08/07/06 “Information Clearing House” — – If there were any remaining illusions about the purpose of Israel’s war against Lebanon, the draft United Nations Security Council resolution calling for a “cessation of major hostilities” published at the weekend should finally dispel them. This entirely one-sided document was drafted, noted the Hebrew-language media, with close Israeli involvement. The top adviser to the Israeli Prime Minister, Ehud Olmert, talked through the resolution with the US and French teams, while the Israeli Foreign Ministry had its man alongside John Bolton at the UN building in New York…

Israel, Oil and the

Tuesday, August 8th, 2006

Deeper understanding of the Israeli aggresions in Lebanon, and the Middle East.

Israel, Oil and the “planned demolition” of Lebanon

…The media portrayal of the current conflict is blatantly absurd. It has nothing to due with “captured soldiers” or Israel’s “right to defend itself”. This is a traditional war with clear territorial and political objectives. The border controversy is nonsense. Israel is trying to seize more land to realize its vision of “Greater Israel” while reducing an adjacent Arab country to a “permanent state of colonial dependency”. This explains the vast and deliberate destruction to Lebanon’s civilian infrastructure. Israel’s dominance requires that its neighbors endure abject poverty and oppression. By destroying the infrastructure and life-support systems, Israel hopes to eliminate the rise of a potential rival as well as to diminish the ability of the Lebanese resistance to wage war against the Jewish state. Once Lebanon is decimated, it will be delivered to Zionists at the World Bank (Paul Wolfowitz) who will apply the shackle of reconstruction loans and structural readjustment, which will keep Lebanon as an indentured servant to the global banking establishment. This model of economic servitude has been used throughout the developing world with varying degrees of success. It anticipates Israel’s regional ascendancy while ensuring that Lebanon’s sovereignty will be compromised for decades to come…

This indicates that U.S. and Israeli military strategists are now likely meeting to plan a joint attack on Syria and/or Iran.

A terrible thought occurs to me – that there will be another 9/11

Sunday, August 6th, 2006

Robert fisk reports from Lebanon.

Apparently Fisk doesn’t subscribe to 911truth because he says that he belives Arab anger and lack of fear will result in a new 9/11.

Of course when you – as I – subscribe to 911truth, you believe that there will be a new 9/11 when the same black-op-shadow-government-international-globalist-military-industrial entity that perpetrated 9/11 wants to further escalate the current conflict into a full-blown ‘nukelar’ attack on Iran.
A terrible thought occurs to me – that there will be another 9/11

…In fact, one of the most profound changes in the region these past three decades has been the growing unwillingness of Arabs to be afraid. Their leaders – our “moderate” pro-Western Arab leaders such as King Abdullah of Jordan and President Mubarak of Egypt – may be afraid. But their peoples are not. And once a people have lost their terror, they cannot be re-injected with fear. Thus Israel’s consistent policy of smashing Arabs into submission no longer works. It is a policy whose bankruptcy the Americans are now discovering in Iraq…

This article in itself is ok, but some of the comments are great – particularly around this comment by Chaval.

These comments are a great illustration of the benefits of obtaining news and opinions through the internet. Even though Fisk is good, the commentators puts him in perspective.

Truthdig – Reports – Tom Hayden: Things Come ’Round in Mideast

Sunday, August 6th, 2006

Tom Hayden writes about how he was conned by the Israelis back in 1982 to endorse the Israeli invasion of Lebanon.

His article is nice and interesting but while reading the comments, I happened upon one explosive comment:

Truthdig – Reports – Tom Hayden: Things Come ’Round in Mideast

ISRAEL BLACKMAILS AMERICA

NUCLEAR WAR IMMINENT.

“PURE EVIL” Does A Deal With “THE DEVIL.”

PURE EVIL is Dick Cheney.

THE DEVIL is Israel’s Mossad.

THE DEAL was 9/11.

Cheney perceived the perfect partner in the perfect crime to be Israel’s Mossad.  Cunning, ruthless, skilled, connected, covert – the “False Flag” experts.

As is now clear and agreed upon by all, the Bush Sr. / Cheney Administration (in which Shrub is merely a spokesperson and useful idiot) adopted the PNAC plan as its own.  Cheney found within it the opportunity to capture vast resource-rich territory in a World War blamed on others, and thereby enrich himself and his friends.

9/11 proved not to be the perfect crime, and the co-conspirators actually got caught, and have been covering up their crime and silencing their “enemies” ever since.

Israel and Cheney were both caught red-handed on 9/11 itself.

Cheney was caught when Norm Minetta walked in on him in the midst of barking out the orders that allowed the A3 Skywarrior to strike the Pentagon without being shot down.

Israel’s Mossad was caught when their five agents were arrested after being observed celebrating and filming the impact and subsequent collapse of the Twin Towers.  They weren’t just arrested, they had with them video taped evidence of themselves celebrating on camera as the towers fell (as would a demolitions team after a successful implosion).

These events are factual.  They occurred. (more…)
