Jeg er meget spændt på hvordan denne udsendelse vil portrættere 911truth bevægelsen. Når jeg kigger på programmet slår det mig som problematisk at 911 bliver lagt i samme kurv som andre konspirationsteorier, der har en klart højere tosse-faktor (fodbold 58), og en klart lavere aktuel-relevans-faktor – 911 er den aktuelle drivkraft bag enorme negative udviklinger såsom aggressive imperialistiske krige og tendenser til politistat i både Europa og USA.
Derudover ligner det et klart ‘kill’ at bringe en film med en mand der skal forklare os forskellen på virkeligheden og konspirationsteorier, og forskellen på politisk aktivitet, og konspirations-forskning… begge falske dichotomier.
I det hele taget ligger fokus for denne tema-aften klart på at betragte eksempler på fænomenet ‘konspirationsteori’ hvorfor jeg tvivler på at der vil blive plads til en egentlig substantiel behandling af de enkelte teoriers indhold.
Hvis man vil gøre 911truth en tjeneste bør man fokusere på at det er en bevægelse snarere end en konspirationsteori, og tilmed en bevægelse, der efterhånden kan mønstre ganske højt profilerede medlemmer eksempelvis: Andreas Von Bülow, Michael Meacher, Charlie Sheen, og mange andre.
Der er flere billeder af udsendelsens tilrettelægger Ole Retsbo sammen med konspirations-über-geek Jim Marrs, som ikke er en central person i 911truth bevægelsen. Marrs har skrevet om 911 men blot som et blandt tusind andre tossede emner.
Der er også et billede af Alex Jones som faktisk er en central person i 911truth bevægelsen og en ret seriøs og energisk person. F.eks. maner han klart til besindighed i det kontroversielle Pentagon/flight77 spørgsmål i modsætning til film som “Loose Change“, og antager jeg sensationalister som Marrs.
Men Alex Jones er en ret skrydende person, og han har også andre tosse-teorier på programmet, hvilket tilsammen giver ham en profil der er let at misrepræsentere og gøre til genstand for ‘strawman attacks‘. Jeg kunne frygte at det er derfor han er blevet udvalgt istedet for den stærkere og mere seriøst profilerede David Ray Griffin… Får vi mon ham at se???
Når solen går ned på Lørdag, vil en ting måske fungere som lakmus-prøve på om denne udsendelse er et stykke fair journalistik eller en ‘hit-piece’:

Her site gives me a slightly eerie feeling with its mixture of Political debate, spiritual stuff – and pay-to-view.
She has recently released a looooong 2+ hours speech of Richard Andrew Grove – 9/11 Whistleblower:

I have just finished ‘listening’ to this speech. It is gargantuan. Richard spends the first 25 minutes framing himself and his motives before even getting to any ‘content’. Then just as he begins to tell about fantastic observations he did on the day of 911 in the streets close to WTC, he evades and says that this info is not within the scope of this ‘transmission’.
He then talks and talks for 2 hours of myriads of persons, companies and incidents central to the events of 911. And in a fantastic chain of events, Richard repeatedly finds himself in the eye of the storm gathering crucial information about 911 and the perpetrators behind it.
I don’t know. Either this guy has a tremendous knack for placing himself in the center of events – almost like the protagonist in a James Bond movie – or he is more likely a paranoid psychotic with an utterly rambling mind – which could account for his alleged repeated being fired.
IF there is any truth to his emissive, it will be truly interesting to follow the reactions to this, but I just find it hard to believe that this is trustworthy.
I have recently had a feeling that there seems to be an oncoming wave of 911 disinfo flowing into progressive media, and this could well be the hitherto most elaborate hoax I have yet witnessed.
It would constitute a honeypot of enormous proportions in which large parts of 911truth movement could be lost, and a horde of follow-up disinfo agents could echo the ‘noise’ thereby reducing the signal to noise ratio of the 911agenda in the progressive media.
The 911 movement could be severely tainted by this guy.
I would love to see some credible backup for his claims.

My first reaction when I started reading this article was. “Geez are anybody still pedling those ‘pod&flash-stories’”. These particular strands of 911truth folklore have long since been abandoned by all of the ’serious’ participants. And yes I allow myself to assert that there are some sites among the many 911sites that can be deemed serious, and those are in particular 911truth.org and st911.org.
Robert, to get other people to listen to and accept the 911truth agenda, is in most cases already an uphill battle, but you’re certainly only making your quest that much harder, by touting some of the most ludicrous 911 stories.
Some of your points are very valid though, such as the norad standdown, and the demolition of the THREE WTC buildings 1, 2 AND particularly 7. But it is…

Here’s an interesting character!
I discovered him through a video of a lecture he held:

Which I can strongly recommend, because not only is his info great, he’s also enjoyable to watch, even through a lengthy lecture.
His main point (in my opinion) is that the conflict between Israel and Palestine is NOT complicated, it is as simple as the conflict between the cowboys and the Indians: The Indians defend themselves against the Cowboys, because they fear territorial dislocation and extinction. (which they got… the indians)
He spends much time in a meta-effort to belitle some of his ‘colleagues’, but even that is entertaining as it is just instrumental for his points about the disinfo being spread about the Israel/palestine conflict.

I’m not (yet) intimately knowledgable enough on this issue to judge the significance of Finkelstein’s accusations against Deshowitz’s book, but if you think it is important then you could try to listen trough the screaming cock-fight. It’s mostly screaming because Dershowitz constantly interrupts, and Finkelstein does appear to prove some incorrect claims in Dershowitz’s book.
And – interestingly he is old chums with Noam Chomsky, though I think there was a slight mention of disagreement between them over the issue of realizability of return of palestinian refugees to their homes in Israel. I mention this because I think it could be supportive evidence of my theory of Chomsky’s strategic M.O.

Here is an article trying so hard to establish itself as being ’sensible’ and ‘honest’ in its scepticism against the 911truth agenda, that it almost exposes itself as a hoax-piece.
In the end what it achieves to prove is that no matter where on the scale you’re trying to take your stand, you will most likely do it by enhancing the arguments that suit your end, and diminishing the arguments that contradict your given agenda… just like I do in my own blog 
That said it did point to a very interesting video-clip, of a corner of WTC1 buckling just at the onset of collapse.

I have never seen exactly this clip before and it does put another perspective on the initialization of the collapse. It also may appear symptomatic that I didn’t see this particular clip in any other article more biased toward proving foul play.

He doesn’t really answer his headline as to ‘why now’, but he says that as long as the serious Debaters of the movement are NOT drawn into the frey of the mainstream, then it is indicative that this frenzy, is just a deliberate media-stunt to diss the movement by letting a few of the colorful jokers run a few rounds in the circus, and then shoot them down as strawmen.
I believe that if he himself was invited to CNN, he would retract his critique…
No, but seriously; The day we see David Ray Griffin in the Mainstream media is the day the movement has effectively reached the public opinion.
Hey! I just concocted a conspiracy theory of my own!
When Larry Silverstein said ‘pull it’ while speaking of wtc7, he laid out strawman bait. And when Charlie Sheen went public recently he was deliberately completing the hoax by taking the bait, and ‘Demanding an answer from Silverstein’, which is patently stupid since he has already given such an answer through his spokesman, and the answer is that by ‘it’ he refered to a contingent of firefighters in the building. Silverstein doesn’t even have to lend credence to Sheen, by publicly answering his ‘demand’, the mainstream media can simply refer to the ‘old news’ statement, and so Sheen will have been shot down, in the fall discrediting the movements brief appearance in the spotlight.
It’s a classic strategy: Sheen purports some of the most serious points from the movement, such as wtc7, but he also opens a big breach in his defenses. When that breach falls, the mainstream can safely ignore the serious points, and so those points will be buried, because now they have been publicly presented and ‘disputed by proxy’. Jakob.
