Norman G. Finkelstein

Here’s an interesting character!

I discovered him through a video of a lecture he held:

15 May 2004 Forum: “Is Criticism of Israel Anti-Semitic?”

Which I can strongly recommend, because not only is his info great, he’s also enjoyable to watch, even through a lengthy lecture.

His main point (in my opinion) is that the conflict between Israel and Palestine is NOT complicated, it is as simple as the conflict between the cowboys and the Indians: The Indians defend themselves against the Cowboys, because they fear territorial dislocation and extinction. (which they got… the indians)
He spends much time in a meta-effort to belitle some of his ‘colleagues’, but even that is entertaining as it is just instrumental for his points about the disinfo being spread about the Israel/palestine conflict.

A page about the books/authors that Finkelstein attacks:
Amazon.com: Profile For K. Kordsmeier: Reviews

The Case for Israel by Alan Dershowitz
From Time Immemorial: The Origins of the Arab-Jewish Conflict over Palestine by Joan Peters

You can watch/listen to to his debate with Alan Dershowitz on Democracynow:
Democracy Now! | Scholar Norman Finkelstein Calls Professor Alan Dershowitz’s New Book On Israel a “Hoax”
I’m not (yet) intimately knowledgable enough on this issue to judge the significance of Finkelstein’s accusations against Deshowitz’s book, but if you think it is important then you could try to listen trough the screaming cock-fight. It’s mostly screaming because Dershowitz constantly interrupts, and Finkelstein does appear to prove some incorrect claims in Dershowitz’s book.
And – interestingly he is old chums with Noam Chomsky, though I think there was a slight mention of disagreement between them over the issue of realizability of return of palestinian refugees to their homes in Israel. I mention this because I think it could be supportive evidence of my theory of Chomsky’s strategic M.O.

COMMENTS ON NOAM CHOMSKY’S NEW BOOK – FAILED STATES

Steven Lendman writes about Noam’s book.

It certainly wets the appetite for reading the book, and it further strengthens my ‘bepuzzledness’ that Noam treats 911truth like tabu.

Webster G. Tarpley

Friday, April 14th, 2006

Webster is one of the more outspoken characters of the movement, giving him a somewhat 'fringe' appearance.

He has allegedly also been ascociated with Lyndon H. LaRouche, Jr. Which may also contribute to scepticism.

Webster G. Tarpley – Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Det nye Pearl Harbor

Wednesday, April 5th, 2006
